Importance and use of precious metals in the processing industry

Precious metal- and copper-containing compounds play a key role in modern manufacturing, particularly in mechanical engineering and in stamping and bending technology. Precious metals such as silver, gold or palladium are used primarily where the highest requirements are placed on conductivity, contact quality and durability, for example in electronics or sensor technology.

Copper and its alloys such as brass or bronze are frequently used due to their excellent electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance and good formability. In industrial processing, these materials are often used as semi-finished products such as sheets, strips, wires or bars. Intermediate products such as coated metal strips or pre-finished materials are also particularly important for precision stamped parts. Modern stamping and bending processes can be used to produce complex components with tight tolerances.

We recycle precious metal-containing stamping scrap, remaining stock, overproduction and production rejects

The choice of the right material influences not only technical performance, but also cost-effectiveness and sustainability. Recycling precious metal-containing materials and non-ferrous metals is therefore becoming increasingly important.
