SilverTeam Precious Metal Recycling – Sustainability as a business model

Energy

With our two PV systems, comprising a total of 294 modules on the factory roof, we generate a large share of our electricity ourselves. We source the additional electricity required 100% as certified green electricity. In addition, we heat all of our operating areas with a modern air-source heat pump—completely without fossil fuels.

Transport

With DSV Air & Sea Germany GmbH, we have a strong partner at our side. This enables us, upon request—and for a corresponding transport cost surcharge—to offer our customers CO₂-neutral collection. In this way, we help keep Scope 3 emissions in the downstream value chain as low as possible.

Mobility

In the area of mobility, we are also consistently pursuing the path toward lower-emission solutions. Part of our fleet is already electric or hybrid, and an in-house EV charging station is available on our company premises. Three additional charging stations are planned.
In addition, we offer our employees the opportunity to use e-bikes via an attractive leasing model—an offer that promotes both health and sustainable mobility.

Certification

Together with Zukunft Fokus, we are currently working on a CCF base certification. This creates the basis for transparent and traceable recording of our company-wide CO₂ footprint. Our goal is to successfully complete the certification process by the end of the year, thereby taking another important step toward holistic sustainability.

Reusable packaging

To reduce packaging material and make processes more efficient, we provide our customers with our own reusable box system. When collected, full boxes are exchanged directly for empty boxes—of course at no cost to our customers.
This reduces packaging material, avoids single-use waste, and ensures a resource-efficient flow of goods. Robust reusable logistics not only saves material, but also improves the efficiency of our processes—a clear advantage for the environment and process quality.
